What are we building?

A word given by Pastor Henry Howard as he was praying this week.

On Friday the 5th October the Lord gave me the following vision: I saw a huge city with all kinds of buildings. Among them were corporate buildings and church buildings. Suddenly they all started collapsing, one of the other. I saw people running out of these buildings into the main street of that city. I saw them running down the street with a dark cloud following them, trying to swallow them. Then I saw a small simple sturdy building that had not collapsed. I could see that the bricks in it were strong. I then saw these people all run into it and they were save in the Presence of Jesus.

Interpretation: I believe we are in a global prophetic season where the systems of the world and even the religious systems of the church are busy collapsing and that God is raising up a simple safe haven for people in Christ where they can find eternal safety and security. God is challenging us about what we are building in the corporate and church the world. That if we are not building on theFoundation of the Person Jesus  Christ, the crisis in the world will overwhelm us. God is raising up a people of God in all spheres of society that will stand in crisis times. Their foundations will be strong, their values will be strong, their relationship with Christ will be strong. In coming times of crisis new standards of Christian living will be raised up. God will in times of crisis use the simple to confound the wise. Paul says: For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.

1 Corinthians 1 26-29( NIV)

“26 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are. 29 So that no one may boast before him.”

The simple presence of Jesus in every believer in times of crisis will bring calm and peace to a world in crisis. It will also be a time of people returning to the simplicity of their devotion to Christ. We are now entering that season.
